About Me
I completed my Ph.D. in Mathematics at Iowa State University in May of 2020 in 4 years. In March of 2019, I was selected to serve as the Lead Teaching Assistant for the Mathematics Department for the 2019-2020 academic year. As Lead TA, I was responsible for scheduling graduate student teaching assignments, and I served as the Lab Coordinator for our Teaching Lab in 449 Carver Hall. I also served as the President of the Mathematics Graduate Student Organization during the 2018-2019 academic year.
Prior to my time at Iowa State, I completed a M.S. in Mathematics at the Univeristy of North Dakota in May of 2016, and a B.S. in Mathematics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2014.
I am currently an Assistant Professor at Westminster College (Missouri) Mathematics & Physics Department where I teach a variety of courses (see Teaching for more information). I am an active member of the campus including volunteering and doing committee work. I am the faculty advisor for the Performing Arts Club, co-coordinator for our annual STEAM Night, and organize the WCMO Problem of the Month competition. I also serve as department chair and the Math Pathways Coordinator.
I am an innately curious person who loves to learn and always seeks new knowledge. I love to travel; experiencing new cultures and settings. In my free time, I enjoy reading, theatre, music, playing board games, cycling, and wood working. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart [picture (A) and (B)], and we had our first child in December of 2019 [pictures (A), (B), and (C)] and we are excpecting our second child this October.
